Who is the Dynamic Content add-on suitable for?

How do I integrate dynamic content into my mailings?

o integrate dynamic content into your mailings, all you need is a data source—the format doesn't matter: XML, JSON, or CSV. The data source should either be accessible via HTTPS or stored on an SFTP server.

After one-time setup in the Dynamic Content Add-on in the Inxmail platform, you specify:

  • the type of dynamic content,
  • the recipient attributes to be used to personalize the content,
  • how the mailing should respond if no suitable content is available.

You then create a content container in the mailing editor, in which you can flexibly position the placeholders for the dynamic content. The design of the container is freely selectable and not tied to a fixed design.

Which data sources can I connect?

You can use data from almost any system that can provide content via CSV, JSON, or XML over HTTPS or SFTP. These can be, for example, recommendation engines, shop systems, CMS, CRM, ERP, or feed management systems (RSS feeds).

The data is played out individually for each recipient as part of the mailing. In addition to classic personalization, fully automated campaigns are also possible, such as daily mailings with current RSS content (e.g., movie listings or game schedules). The respective data source only needs to be stored once and can then be used for various configuration types, such as shopping cart abandonment or product recommendations. Content containers can also be saved and reused as needed.

What happens if no data is delivered?

For such cases, you can define fallback content—i.e., alternative content that is displayed in the mailing if, for example, a feed is empty. The Dynamic Content add-on automatically checks whether data is available and, in case of an error, uses the configured replacement content.

How up-to-date is the dynamic content when it is sent?

The content is automatically updated when it is sent. You can schedule up to two updates per day for a data source. You can also trigger an update manually.

How much does the Dynamic Content add-on cost?

The add-on costs €100 per month. There is also a one-time setup fee.

There is a fair use limit of 500,000 elements per configuration. If you need larger volumes, please contact us and we will suggest customized solutions in the enterprise sector.
