Calendar promotions do not have to be limited to the Advent season – after all, it is always fun to open a closed door, be surprised and maybe even win a great prize. The anniversary calendar from Aldiana even offered 50 exciting moments of this kind, which ultimately provided the tour operator and hotel operator of eight club resorts with many new leads. Inxmail supported its long-standing customer with the technical all-round solution.
It's not every day that a company celebrates 50 years of existence – and so, in its anniversary year, travel provider Aldiana wanted to offer a variety of great promotions for new and existing customers. One thing that was certain during the planning phase, for example, was that there should be a competition with 50 attractive prizes.
The first step was to determine how the competition could be implemented. The idea was initially to have a simple registration form, but this was then to be developed further. In consultation with the email marketing provider Inxmail, which has had a good customer relationship with Aldiana for a long time, the idea of an action calendar emerged as a suitable format for the competition: 50 days, 50 prizes. Participation in the competition should be accompanied by a registration for the customer newsletter of Aldiana. The prizes of more than 20 partners of Aldiana would be hidden behind the doors, which required extensive internal coordination.
The challenges included a simple implementation, the legally compliant lead generation and the integration and recipient management in the Inxmail platform.
With the action calendar, customers receive a service from a single source that allows them to reach (new) customers in a fun way and generate high-quality leads. The direct connection to Inxmail, combined with a high level of data security and a legally compliant registration and participation process, make the service perfect for all customers who already use Inxmail.
With its expertise and portfolio, Inxmail was able to help make the Aldiana anniversary calendar a visually appealing, user-friendly and exciting solution. A briefing session was held to discuss the technical implementation, during which it was determined, among other things, who would take on which part: Inxmail was responsible for the design and implementation of the website, while Aldiana took on the design of the emails. The creation process also included an extensive acceptance and correction loop, in which the partners and prize sponsors each carried out their own acceptance. This was complex with over 20 participants, but worked extremely well. The competition participants received daily reminder emails, which were implemented by Aldiana and technically integrated by Inxmail.
The results were impressive: the campaign calendar attracted more than 11,000 participants during the 50-day campaign period, which also resulted in 50,000 newsletter registrations. Aldiana was more than satisfied with these figures. The implementation of the overall project also went according to plan, to the satisfaction of all parties involved.
