Share newsletter articles on social networking sites
Thanks to the add-on for Facebook, MySpace and LinkedIn, articles that
were previously only intended for the recipient group of newsletter
subscribers can now be marketed to a much larger readership.
How do recipients ‘share’ the newsletter article? The
newsletter sent with Inxmail Professional has a ‘Share’ feature. By
clicking one of the social buttons, the article is posted on one or
more of the social networking sites after the user (newsletter
recipient) has first logged on as normal. From then on, the article is
also available to friends and business contacts and enjoys higher
readership. Anything a friend or business contact approves of has to be
interesting. If this is not the case, articles can be commented on
individually.
The reporting feature is also very valuable, as it
provides information on important marketing factors. Who shared the
newsletter article on which social networking site? How often was it
‘shared’ and displayed? These questions open entirely new avenues of
opportunity and provide greater scope for new viral campaign ideas in
email marketing.
You too can benefit from the multiplier effects:- Increase in the distribution rate of the newsletter article many times over.
- High level of credibility and notice through personal recommendation.
- Only one click is necessary to share the content on a social networking site.
- Detailed reporting provides you with documentation of the social networking behaviour.
- Increase in the number of newsletter subscriptions due to the high level of involvement with content and sender.
What do you need to avail of these advantages? To
use the new feature, you will need to add the Inxmail add-on for
Facebook, MySpace or LinkedIn and to adapt your Inxmail Professional
design template.
